Theme of our blog

The Theme

We choose Discourse Analysis (DA) as it is related to our ambiance and daily life. Thus, it makes it easier for us to analyze and give meaning to the discourse according to our own interpretation. Different context requires different discourse.

The Scope

We choose to do both written and spoken discourse and give examples from both branches. Plus, we will analyze the effects that solidarity, power and politeness give to the discourse produced.

The Islamization of Knowledge

Throughout the analysis, Islamization of knowledge will be inserted to show that in whatever discourse that we are engaged to, it must be in line with the Islamic doctrine. Moreover, verses form the Holy Quran and Hadith will be inserted to support the analysis.

Below is an example of discourse within a family that consists of the three elements that we want to highlight in this blog, which are solidarity, power and politeness. The details will be further explained in our future posts. Enjoy! =)
